CLUB SAFETY

TRAININGS

To ensure the safest environment possible, the Boys & Girls Club of Rosebud utilizes several mandatory trainings every year with all employees. Below is a list of trainings:

  • Anti-Harassment: For Everyone

  • Child Sexual Abuse Prevention at Camp

  • Appropriate Touch

  • Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training Certification

EMPLOYEE EXPECTATIONS

  • Drug and alcohol free (initial and ongoing testing

  • Zero-tolerance of harassment or misconduct

  • Mandatory reporters of any obvious or suspected abuse towards members, volunteers, or employees

  • Confidentiality policy towards all non-public BGCR information

IN-HOUSE POLICIES

WHAT WE DO TO ENSURE CLUB MEMBER'S SAFETY

The BGCR staff and volunteers also follow numerous best practices regarding youth safety during Club times and all trips.

They are listed below:

  • Annual comprehensive background checks on all staff and volunteers

  • First Aid and CPR certification training is provided annually

  • All staff receive child safety and youth development trainings, both national and local

  • Over 30 security cameras are present throughout the Clubs and always recording

  • Volunteers are always paired with trained Club staff, never alone

  • Annual, external, health and safety inspectors of each Club building by IHS

  • Certified lifeguards must be present for all swimming activities

  • Seat belts are required at all times in Club vehicles
